Medical College Act

The Unincorporated Deuteronomical Society, by and with the consent of the members temporal, enacts as follows:

  1. This Act may be cited as Medical College Act, 2017.
  2. We create a corporation called "The Medical College of The Unincorporated Deuteronomical Society", hereafter "the College."
  3. The purpose of the College is to oversee the medical profession for the benefit of the members temporal of The Unincorporated Deuteronomical Society.
  4. The College shall consist of a registrar, licentiates and a Board of Discipline (the Board).
  5. The Registrar of the Society shall be the registrar of the College.
  6. The Board shall be responsible for promulgating a Code of Ethics and Rules of Practice.
  7. The Board shall be composed of the Chief Justice, Registrar and at most five licentiates appointed by Parliament.
  8. The Board may discipline a licentiate.
  9. The Board may make bylaws for the peace, order and good government of the College.
  10. The Board may admit as licentiate those whom it examines and finds to be of good moral character and sufficient qualification.
  11. Notwithstanding section 10,
    1. The Chief Justice is ex officio a licentiate.
    2. The Registrar is ex officio a licentiate.
  12. [Specialties]
    1. The board may constitute a committee of licentiates to act in its stead over a medical specialty
    2. An appeal from any decision of a committee lies to the Board. 
  13. Licentiates may use the postnomial letters MCLUDS, which mean "Medical College Licentiate of the Unincorporated Deuteronomical Society."
  14. Licentiates must pay a yearly fee to be fixed by the Board by bylaw.
  15. Licentiates must undertake a continuing program of education.
  16. Licentiates shall be issued a Certificate in the form in Schedule A

is a duly qualified Medical College Licentiate of The Unincorporated Deuteronomical Society.  In witness thereof, I have caused the Registrar to affix the Seal of the Society. {L.S.}
